Stalking Knives

I make two knives ideal for the deer stalker. One of the knives is called The Grallocher made in 3mm 01 tool steel, which is far superior than stainless for edge retention and ease of sharpening when out in the field. The other knife I make is called The Bleeder and has a blade length of 150mm ideal for necking and bleeding the beast, again made from 01 tool steel.
The Grallocher is so named for the purpose of the gralloch and has a patented design forward finger notch pat. number 4000622. The design came about by my stalking partner Ian Sirrel whilst we were Gralloching a sika hind. He pointed out that it would be ideal to have a finger notch on the back of the point of the blade, so that a one handed gralloch could be achieved whilst holding the beast's leg with the other hand.
Back in his workshop I made the alteration to the blade as Ian had described. He now uses this knife for all his deer stalking needs. This design is now incorperated in the Grallocher knife and myself and Ian are the only knife makers in the UK who can supply you this knife for the above purpose
Both of these knives are individually hand made by myself from 01 high carbon tool steel, heat treated and tempered to a rc of 58/59.
The Grallocher: 110mm handle x 90mm x 3mm blade. Sturdy in the hand complete with its own hand made belt sheath.

My knives, come fully honed and sharpened to shave hair and be put to work immediately.
